曹錦輝在私領域雖誤交損友，公領域卻並未對不起球迷。

「曹錦輝今天原本想出席，但基於偵查不公開原則，才不便參加。」

　岩元理惠強調，小曹在十月廿八日被檢方飭回後，許多不實報導抹殺了他的清白，「小曹沒有打假球，未帶小姐出場，跟朋友在酒店有小姐作陪，難道違法嗎？」

在美國只要球員公領域表現好，私領域如何一樣會受到球迷肯定，洋基隊吉特就是這樣，而小曹回台還未完全適應。

第一是公領域小曹沒有對不起球迷；

第二是私領域交友不慎要向大家致歉；

第三是對球迷、象隊和洪領隊（洪瑞河）感到抱歉，自己未能謹言慎行。

　岩元又說，在檢調真相大白前，希望外界不要再捕風捉影，小曹對此深感無奈又痛心，本來想保持靜默，現在卻不說不行，小曹自認未做虧心事，但人格已遭嚴重踐踏。

　曹錦輝跟組頭「雨刷」四度見面，兄弟象隊依據中華職棒大聯盟規章「職業棒球選手契約書」第廿一條第三項規定：「犯罪、重大違紀、賭博、鬥毆、酗酒或其他影響職業棒球 {

　岩元表示，小曹尊重兄弟象不續約的決定，等偵查告一段落，他仍有把握在台灣或國外證明自己的能力，而小曹今年戰績八勝八敗，已是今年狀況下最好的表現。至於小曹行蹤成謎一事，岩元理惠說，小曹感覺自己被跟蹤，沒有回家住，最近都住朋友家，目前小曹仍是自由身，只是被限制出境。
